Isn’t my logo enough?

When people talk about brand, they often think ‘logo’, ‘colours’, ‘visual identity’.

And while your logo, colour palette and visual identity are critical parts of your brand, your brand is much more than that.

So naturally there is a huge difference between designing a logo and building a brand.

Working with a designer to create a logo is a largely practical, subjective exercise, with decision-making based on instinct, preference, and a certain level of bias.

On the other hand, creating a brand involves stepping back, objectively, and considering what your business means – to you and to your stakeholders. It requires a thorough process of reflection. And if you’ve not undertaken a brand development process before, it can be quite challenging – and often enlightening.

  • What do you stand for, personally, and professionally?
  • What is your philosophy or ethos?
  • Why did you start your business in the first place?
  • Have you even thought about it?
  • How should you articulate your vision, mission and values?
  • What are your differentiators?
  • What are your competitors doing well – or not so well – and how does their brand reflect that?
  • Do you have a positioning statement? Should you?
  • Are your values and key messages communicated through your current brand? To your clients? To your staff? To the general public?
  • How are you perceived?

Your brand is the experience people feel each and every time they interact with your business, at every level – not the colour or design of your logo.

Only once you have stepped back, contemplated these questions and articulated a solid response should you move to logo design, colour palettes and visual identity.

Titan Brand can take you through this whole process to help you articulate your brand, then create your logo, visual identity and brand assets for your business. Titan Brand’s brand and design experts first conduct a discovery brief, undertaking detailed interviews, competitor analyses and brand modelling to help assess and advise on your brand development.

Once you have brand assets that align to your business, they can be used by our website production teams and digital campaign teams to generate clarity and consistency of your brand, perception and messaging.

Titan Brand offers two brand packages – Brand ID and BrandPack – which can be tailored to suit your business and specific campaigns and marketing needs.

As well as building strong brands with the right logos and brand assets, Titan Brand can create a whole suite of visual communications, including brochures, banners, display, signage, and merchandise.
